Did all dinosaurs lay eggs?

Yes! It is believed that all dinosaurs laid eggs. Just like birds and reptiles today, every dinosaur came from an egg

The oldest dinosaur eggs are super ancient! Some dino eggs are over 190 million years old, that’s older than the first flowers!

One dinosaur egg turned into a shiny rock. A round, colourful stone in the Natural History Museum turned out to be a fossilised titanosaur egg from India.

Some dino eggs were soft like lizard eggs. The first dinosaurs laid soft, leathery eggs, not hard ones.

Dino eggs came in all shapes and sizes

Some eggs were blue or green. Just like robin eggs, dino eggs from an Oviraptor were thought to have had colours and spots.

Some dinos sat on their eggs like chickens. Fossils show dinosaurs like Oviraptor sitting on nests to keep their babies warm.

Baby dinos started growing teeth before hatching. In some eggs, scientists found tiny dino teeth growing just like baby crocodiles.
